My Grandad passed away...

I'm sad and I cried for a bit but the thing is that he lived in another country all my life. I've met him about 5 times in real life and while we always kept updated on each others lives we weren't really close.

My step sisters are bugging me to go an be with them but I honestly just want to be alone right now so that I can cry and deal with things my own way. Is that so hard to understand? Is that unreasonable?

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Essential ACTA Resources

  • Read more about ACTA here: ACTA Fact Sheet
  • Read the authentic version of the ACTA text as of 15 April 2011, as finalized by participating countries here: ACTA Finalized Text
  • Follow the history of the treaty’s formation here: ACTA history
  • Read letters from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden wherein he challenges the constitutionality of ACTA: Letter 1 | Letter 2 | Read the Administration’s Response to Wyden’s First Letter here: Response
  • Watch a short informative video on ACTA: ACTA Video

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.

My recap of Adam Lambert Concert

Okay well this concert was EPIC!!!

First off word to the wise this may be boring as i was by myself for the whole day!

I flew out of wellington at 10 in the morning so i was up and about quite early even though i couldn't sleep the night before.
Checked in rediculously early as i caught an earlier bus because there was no way i was missing that plane!

Pretty boring flight all told and all i did was listen to Adam and read the paper.
Got to auckland and bussed into town and set off to find my hostel which was Nomads. I spotted at least 4 people coming back there after the concert and even met one in the bathrooms when we were all doing our makeup!

Man is backpacking awkward. Met lovely girls though. I got stuck with the top bunk which kinda sucked as i came back last and i think i woke them all up.
Anyway i went for a wander and a window shop for the next 4 hours or so as i had NOTHING else to do.
Auckland is shocking for it's lack of cafes. Really 4 blocks in the centre of town and nothing!
I found lits of thise kitsch asian stores and found the cutest hair accessory. It was a cute little black hat with lace that i added to my look for the night.

Went back to my hostel after buying more bobby pins (essential for my hair especially at a concert!) Had a shower rediculously early because i could. Anything to waste the time. Then i spent about 30 minutes on my makeup only to fix the colours again just before i left. I went with purple with gold eyeliner which i also teamed with black liquid liner with a double wing. It looked fabulous! Unfortunately i couldn't get a good picture on my phone and i didnt take a camera as at concerts i go for the expereience.

Left at 5.15 for a bus at 6! I know i thought i was early. Got half way down the road and realised i forgot my id and eftpos card in case i wanted to drink. Went back and set off once more. I though i was early! joined the queue which was quite long and really badly organised!

We were in a spiral of all things which didnt work so well when the buses arived because it went to the end not the start of the line and the venue was very badly organised. Dramas.
I ended up on the 3rd of 11 buses the venue put on for us which for 20 dollars got us early admission and transport.
When we finally got to the venue we were usherred in leaving a HUGE line outside for people without the bus pass which i kinda felt bad about but there was no limit on the buses so they could have forked out 20.

More queueing but i some how managed to cause some drama.

The lobby had a line of yellow tape down the centre which led to the bathrooms. Some how everyone on bus 1 and 2 (who arrived after me initially anyway) couldn't read and had packed in to the right side of the tape and left the left completely open. The back of the lobby was getting more and more full and no one from the venue was dealing with the huge crowd so i started walking towards the front.
Some one called out to me and told me off. Well i got that but hey not my fault they can't read.
I basically told them we've run out of room out back can you guys move up and to the left?
She refused and said she'd been here first. I just looked at her. I mean i was offering her a better spot in the queue.
So i went to someomne else and asked that area to move up so we could fix the situation.
Eventually some people started moving so i went with them and ended up really close to the doors ready to run for the front when the openned up the doors.

So when the doors open we all ran with the venue staff panicking and telling us not to run. I got up front with helf of me on the barrier and then randomly the person in front of me wandered off. SCORE barrier for me. I stayed there for the rest of the awesome show.

Will continue this later.

How the hell do you respond to getting this over facebook?

Hey you need to be more careful with your diet Elizabeth your father and I are very worried about as it may be too late to come back form your constant over eating. Please think about the irersable damage you are doint to your body and mind by not taking responsibility for you health. Luv Mum.
I will bring some diet soup around for you an Saturday.

I mean wtf? I haven't seen them in about a month because we've all been busy and i get a message hoping its going to be something good like see you on saturday instead i get that!

Am i wrong to find that completely out of line?
My weight is my issue- i understand that they're worried about me but for once couldn't they day something nice?
How about reassuring me that i'm loved regardless of my shape or whether i finish uni.

Is she that delusional that she thinks me losing the weight will magically fix my depression?
If i'm overeating (which i'm not)it's not something i can just snap out of.
